Seasons Greetings to All Our Kokoda Spirit
Trekkers & Friends
Thank you to each and every one of you for a fantastic trekking
season.
Your support for the Cyclone Guba appeal in the
Oro Province has been terrific. I have been in regular contact
with the boys in Buna. They are now receiving food and aid support.
Their priorities are to restart their community gardens and clean
out their wells and dams for clean water. I will be over there in
early January to assist with some rebuilding. Their spirits are
good. They have asked me to pass on their thanks for all the support
and good wishes, it is much appreciated.
2008 Lt. Col. Ralph Honner Oration Dinner
 Kokoda
Spirit has booked 2 tables of 10 for the upcoming Lt Col Ralph
Honner Oration Dinner organised by the Kokoda Track Foundation.
Please let me know if you wish to attend and sit at the Kokoda
Spirit table as this is the premier event for the Kokoda Track and
tickets sell out fast. This is a fantastic event.
We are very pleased to announce that The Kokoda Track Foundation’s
annual major fundraising event will be held on Friday, February
29th, 2008 at the Sofitel Wentworth Hotel in Sydney, 7pm for 7.30pm.
The Ralph Honner Oration on leadership will next
year be delivered at the dinner by Australian Federal Police
Commissioner, Mr Mick Keelty.
Formal invitations to the event will be sent out
in November, but pre-invite bookings are now being taken. Tickets
can be reserved by emailing how many you wish to purchase to:

Ticket prices are as follows:
Individual (non-member) - $185.00
KTF Members - $175.00
Corporate Table of 10 - $1,750.00
Kokoda Veteran (& Partner) – Complimentary
Numbers for the event are strictly limited so please be sure to get
in early to avoid disappointment.
Our thanks to the organisations that have already
placed corporate table bookings.
Off to Borneo
We are off to Borneo on Friday to trek the Sandakan Track and Climb
Mt Kinabalu. Our office will be shut until January 7 2008. I will
have my mobile and limited access to emails.
